The mushroom and spice blend gives this a really smooth, earthy flavor that doesn't taste grassy like other matchas I've tried. I get a clean, steady focus for hours without the jittery crash I used to get from coffee.
Swapped my afternoon coffee for this and the focus is noticeably steadier, no jittery crash around 3pm. The mushroom blend is subtle enough that I don't really taste it, just a smooth earthy matcha. Three weeks in and I've cut way back on espresso.
The spice notes in this matcha are subtle in a good way — not overpowering the tea at all. I switched from coffee because the jitters were getting to me, and the L-theanine really does give a calmer kind of focus through the afternoon.
